The Last Bookstore - Downtown Los Angelas
This past week I was on vacation with my lovely lady, visiting two of my dearest friends, Drew and Kelsey Melton. We spent the beginning of the trip in Yucca Valley near Joshua Tree National Park, and the end in the city of Los Angeles. On Saturday Kate and I were planning on going out towards the Ocean and visiting Deus Ex Machina (because we both love motorcycles and coffee), but Hertz car rental threw a wrench in our plans by not having the car we reserved. So, after texting our hosts that we needed a new plan, we hopped into an Uber car and went to the Arts District. It worked out for the best. Kate and I spent the day touring around Downtown LA—shopping and exploring. Drew suggested that we stop at The Last Bookstore, and I'm extremely glad he did. I've never been in a bookstore that embodies what I love most about books. From mystery to adventure to imagination—The Last Bookstore had physical representations for everything that books contain. I've posted some pictures of the store below. If you are ever in Downtown Los Angeles, I highly recommend you check this store out and give yourself enough time to get lost. It will be well worth your time.
